Adobe Lightroom 6 Macos High Sierra

Lightroom v6.0; macos High Sierra 10.13.1 (17B1003) hi-spec macbookpro; Any advice much appreciated - before I look at Luminar and ON1 as more reliable alternatives (and yes Luminar is about to include asset management so I wonder if it's more stable than LR). Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Lightroom/Uninstall Adobe Lightroom - downloaded. The newest Mac operating system, macOS 10.13 Sierra, goes live later today. The big question is, does Lightroom work? The good news is Lightroom CC 2015.12 and Lightroom 6.12 and later do work on High Sierra.

When moving forward so many releases, it's a good idea to research the compatibility of the application versions you have, before upgrading. For reference, there are several other incompatibilities with Lightroom 4 under Sierra and High Sierra, listed here: Lightroom and macOS High Sierra Compatibility (scroll down to 'Older Lightroom Versions. – Operating system macOS 10.13 (High Sierra), macOS 10.14 (Mojave), macOS 10.15 (Catalina) – RAM 4 GB of RAM (12 GB recommended) – Hard disk space 2 GB of available hard-disk space for program installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices). Does anyone know the status of Lightroom's compatibility with macOS High Sierra? I've been checking Adobe's site periodically for weeks and haven't seen anything. With High Sierra dropping on 25 September I'd like to know if Adobe supports Lightroom on that system before taking the plunge. I don't see why it wouldn't be.

I made a serious mistake and I lost my Lightroom Ircat, which I then found back in the 'trash' and another catalog in Applications'!.
I read that I will have to 'drag' the one in the trash, out of the trash, but do not know how to accomplish this.
Drag: how and whereto?
I really made a big mistake!
I found a second Lightroom 'Catalog 2 3.Ircat' which landed in Applications.
Everything is not yet lost, but I do not dare to take any further risk of loosing these catalogs altogether
Thank you for your help!
